The domain Maison Saint Aix was founded in 1880 as a truffle orchard and was converted into a vineyard in the early 1900’s. the domain has about 75Ha or nearly 200 acres and is herewith one of the largest domains in the aop coteaux d'aix-en-provence area, located close to aix-en-provence.
the cellars are renovated with one sole purpose: producing the best rosé in the world. AIX Rosé 2014 has been awarded again with a gold medal at the ‘concours général agricole’ in paris and won the gold medal at the mundus vini ‘spring tasting’. AIX has also been applauded in the international media. wine spectator awarded AIX with a score of 89 points. falstaff, the largest german wine magazine, put AIX rosé in the top-10 provence rosés.
The 2014 harvest started end of september at four o’clock in the morning to guarantee that grapes arrived in the cellar at low temperatures. recent investments in the winemaking facilities were used to keep fermentation temperatures at minimum levels at around 12°C.
